Shipping Time Setting

Purpose

This article explains how Admins configure Shipping Time options in the Thulo Logistics Module.

Shipping Time represents the estimated delivery duration (for example: 3–5 days, 7–10 days) and is used to set customer expectations during shipment creation and tracking.


Who This Is For

Required Permissions

  • Logistics → Settings → Edit

  • User Management → Admin access


What Shipping Time Is Used For

Shipping Time is used to:

  • Display estimated delivery duration during:

    • Shipment creation

    • Customer tracking views

  • Communicate delivery expectations to customers

  • Support service selection alongside:

    • Shipping Mode

    • Logistics Service

Shipping Time is informational and does not guarantee delivery speed.


Where Shipping Time Appears

Once configured, Shipping Time options appear in:

  • Create Shipment

  • Shipment details

  • Customer and public tracking views (if enabled)

Staff select the appropriate Shipping Time during shipment creation.


Step-by-Step: Add Shipping Time

Step 1: Navigate to Shipping Time Settings

Go to Logistics → Settings → Shipping Time.

Step 2: Add Shipping Time Information

Enter the required details, such as:

  • Shipping time label (e.g. 3–5 Business Days)

  • Optional description or notes

Use clear, customer-friendly wording.


Step 3: Save the Shipping Time

Click Save to create the shipping time option.

After saving:

  • The shipping time becomes selectable during shipment creation

  • Customers can see the delivery estimate in tracking views


Important Rules to Know

  • Shipping Time is tenant-wide

  • It does not enforce delivery deadlines

  • It does not calculate pricing

  • Existing shipments are not affected if Shipping Time is changed


Best Practices

  • Use realistic delivery estimates

  • Align Shipping Time with actual operational capability

  • Keep wording simple and consistent

  • Avoid promising guaranteed delivery unless contractually supported


Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Treating Shipping Time as a delivery guarantee

  • Using Shipping Time to represent shipping mode

  • Creating too many similar time options

  • Changing labels frequently after shipments are active

This data is used for the “Delivery time " field in the creation page of Locker Package, Shipment, Consolidated. And it is also used for Default shipping info in Settings

  1. Create Shipping Time - Step 1. Go to Settings menu under the Logistics module on the left sidebar.  Step 2. Select the Shipping Time menu and click on Add Shipping Time button. - Step 3. In the New Shipping Time popup, fill in the required fields. - Step 4. Select Save
  2. Update Shipping Time  To edit a shipping time: - Step 1. Go to Settings menu under the Logistics module on the left sidebar. - Step 2. Select the Shipping Time menu. Find and select the shipping time and click on - Step 3. Make the necessary changes to the shipping time. - Step 4. Select Save.
  3. Delete Shipping Time To delete a shipping time: Step 1. Go to Settings menu under the Logistics module on the left sidebar. - Step 2. Select the Shipping Time menu and select the shipping time you want to delete - Step 3. Select - Step 4. Select OK to confirm
