Instructions on how data is displayed on labels

This article explains how data is displayed on shipping labels in the Thulo Logistics Module and where each label field originates from.

It helps Admins, Staff, and Support teams understand why specific information appears on labels, ensuring correct printing, verification, and customer communication.

Label Information Breakdown

Shipment / Package Identification

Labels typically include:

  • Shipment or Package ID

  • Barcode or reference number

Source of data:

  • Automatically generated by the system

  • Assigned during Locker Package or Shipment creation

These identifiers are system-controlled and cannot be edited.


Recipient Information

Recipient details on labels include:

  • Recipient name

  • Delivery address

  • City, state, and country

  • Contact details (if enabled)

Source of data:

  • Recipient created by the customer

  • Selected during shipment or package creation

Recipient data is read-only on labels.


Sender / Origin Information

Labels may display:

  • Office of origin

  • Agency (if applicable)

  • Logistics company information

Source of data:

  • Office Group Setting

  • Agency Group Setting

  • Admin configuration

This information provides operational context for handling and routing.


Shipping & Service Information

Labels may include:

  • Shipping company

  • Shipping mode

  • Logistics service

  • Shipping time or service level

Source of data:

  • Selected during shipment creation

  • Default Shipping Info (if applied)

This information helps handlers and carriers identify service requirements.


Package Details

Labels may display:

  • Package type

  • Weight

  • Quantity or item count (if applicable)

Source of data:

  • Locker Package details

  • Package Type Setting

  • System-calculated weight values

Weight and dimensions are system-referenced and not editable on labels.


Tracking & Status Indicators

Labels may include:

  • Tracking number

  • Barcode or QR code

  • Status indicators (depending on format)

Source of data:

  • Shipment or package tracking system

  • Styles and States configuration (for visual indicators)

Tracking identifiers are used for scanning and status updates.


Editable vs Non-Editable Label Data

Non-Editable (Always System-Controlled)

  • Shipment / Package ID

  • Tracking number

  • Pricing or invoice data

  • System barcodes

Editable (Indirectly)

  • Label appearance (via system templates, if supported)

  • Status labels (visual style only)

Label data itself is not edited manually.

The locker package, shipping, consolidate and pickup features all have export label functionality. To get the label information like the image above, here's how:

1. The left header area: is the company logo. You upload the logo in Setup -> Settings -> General

2. Right header area: is the company information including TIN, Phone, Address. You fill in this information in Setup -> Settings -> Company Information

3. In particular, in the locker package label, we have a locker line as below. When you create a new customer, this code will be automatically generated and each customer has a unique locker code. Currently, this code only appears in the label, not saved anywhere in the customer profile. To have this locker code, you need to configure it in Tracking and Invoice


 

For existing customers, you need to go to their profile and click Save so that the system automatically generates the locker code.
