Recruitment Portal

Purpose

This article explains how the Recruitment Portal works in the Thulo RecruitEdge – Recruitment Management Module.

The Recruitment Portal is a candidate-facing portal where job openings are displayed and applications are submitted.


Who This Is For

  • HR Admin

  • HR User

  • Candidates (external users)


Required Permissions

For HR users:

  • Recruitment → View (Global)

For candidates:

  • Access via public Recruitment Portal (no internal permissions required)


What the Recruitment Portal Is Used For

The Recruitment Portal is used to:

  • Display active job openings

  • Allow candidates to apply for jobs online

  • Collect candidate information in a structured format

  • Create candidate profiles automatically upon application

The portal acts as the primary entry point for external candidates.


Where These Apply

The Recruitment Portal applies to:

  • Recruitment Campaigns marked as In Progress

  • Recruitment Channels linked to campaigns

  • Candidate application and profile creation

Only active campaigns appear on the portal.


How the Recruitment Portal Works

  1. HR publishes a Recruitment Campaign

  2. The campaign becomes visible on the Recruitment Portal

  3. Candidates browse available job openings

  4. Candidates submit applications through the portal

  5. Candidate profiles are created automatically in RecruitEdge

All applications are tracked under the related campaign.


What Candidates Can Do on the Portal

Candidates can:

  • View job listings

  • Register and log in

  • Apply for open positions

  • Manage their profile information

  • View applied jobs and interview schedules

Candidates cannot see internal evaluations or HR notes.


Important Rules to Know

  • Only active campaigns appear on the portal

  • Portal visibility is controlled by campaign status

  • Portal display depends on Recruitment Portal settings

  • Candidate data submitted through the portal follows recruitment rules

  • Review job details before publishing campaigns

  • Test portal display after configuration changes

  • Keep candidate-facing information clear and accurate

  • Monitor applications regularly


Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Publishing incomplete job descriptions

  • Forgetting to enable recruitment channels

The data displayed in Recruitment Portal is taken from the Campaigns with In-progress status.

Campaigns that have expired recruitment will display Overdue status.

1. Apply to the job position

  • Step 1. Go to Recruitment portal -> Click View Detail button.
  • Step 2. Click Apply Now button
  • Step 3. Fill in the application form and submit
    Note
    • When the candidate successfully submits the application, the information will be transferred to the Candidate Profile menu .
    • Once the candidate has logged into the Recruitment Portal, then applied for the position, the system will automatically get the candidate's information to fill in the application form.

2. Email to Friend 

  • Step 1. Go to Recruitment portal -> Click View Detail button.
  • Click Email to friend button
  • Step 3. In the Send mail page, fill in the required details and click Save
