Recruitment Plan

Purpose

This article explains how HR users create and manage Recruitment Plans in the Thulo RecruitEdge – Recruitment Management Module.

A Recruitment Plan helps define what role is being hired, why the hiring is required, and how many positions are needed before starting a recruitment campaign.

What Recruitment Plans Are Used For

Recruitment Plans are used to:

  • Define hiring requirements in advance

  • Specify job position, quantity, and timeline

  • Record the reason for recruitment

  • Prepare job description and candidate requirements

  • Keep hiring structured before publishing campaigns

Recruitment Plans act as the foundation for Recruitment Campaigns.


Where These Apply

Once created, Recruitment Plans are used in:

  • Recruitment Campaign creation

  • Hiring timelines and planning

  • Recruitment reporting and tracking

Recruitment Plans do not accept applications directly.


How To Create a Recruitment Plan

  1. Go to Recruitment → Plan

  2. Click New Plan

  3. Enter Plan Name (example: Marketing Executive Hiring – Q2)

  4. Select the Job Position

  5. Select the Department

  6. Enter Quantity to Recruit

  7. Select Working Form (Full-time or Part-time)

  8. Add Workplace Location

  9. Set Salary Range if applicable

  10. Choose From Date and To Date

  11. Enter Reason for Recruitment

  12. Add Job Description

  13. (Optional) Add Candidate Requirements

  14. Click Save


Important Rules to Know

  • Recruitment Plans help structure hiring but do not publish jobs

  • Recruitment Campaigns are created based on Recruitment Plans

  • Changes to a plan do not affect existing candidates

  • Plans can be edited or deleted if not in use


Best Practices

  • Use clear plan names with role and time period

  • Add realistic recruitment timelines

  • Keep job descriptions clear and practical

  • Review plans before creating campaigns


Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Creating campaigns without a recruitment plan

  • Leaving job descriptions empty

  • Using unclear plan names like “Hiring Plan 1”

  • Forgetting to update outdated plans

Recruitment Plan is used when creating the campaign.

Create Plan 

  • Step 1. Go to  the Recruitment module in the left sidebar and select Settings menu.
  • Step 2. Select the Other settings menu -> Activate Show recruitment plan.

  • Step 3Go to Plan menu under Recruitment module from the left sidebar -> click New Plan button.

  • Step 4. In the New Plan page, fill tin the following details: 

    1. Enter the Plan name
    2. Select the Position, Position field data is taken from Job Position Setting
    3. Select the Department 
    4. Enter the Quantity to be recruited
    5. Select the Working form: Internship or Full time or Part-time or Collaborators
    6. Enter the Workplace
    7. Enter the Starting salary (from) and Starting salary (to) 
    8. Enter the From date  and To date
    9. Enter The reason for the recruitment 
    10. Enter the Job description
    11. Select an Approver 
    12. Go to Candidate requirements and fill in the requested details
  • Step 5. Click Save button
  • Step 6. View plan detail and approve the plan by Approver 


Edit Plan

Only plan with the Plan status can be edited

  • Step 1. Go to Plan menu under Recruitment module from the left sidebar
  • Step 2. Select the plan need to be edited and click Edit

  • Step 3Make the necessary changes and click Save button.

Delete Plan

Only plan with the Plan status can be deleted

  • Step 1. Select the Plan menu ->  Select the plan need to be deleted and click Delete button.

  • Step 2. Confirm your selection in the following pop-up. The plan will be deleted. 

Plan Detail

Select the plan and click View button.
