Purpose

This article explains how HR users record candidate interactions and follow-up results in the Thulo RecruitEdge – Recruitment Management Module.

Recording interactions helps maintain a complete communication history for each candidate during recruitment.

  • Recruitment → Edit

  • Recruitment → View (Global)


What Recording Candidate Interactions Is Used For

Recording candidate interactions is used to:

  • Log phone calls, walk-ins, and informal discussions

  • Track follow-up actions and outcomes

  • Maintain communication history outside email

  • Support informed hiring decisions

Interaction records complement emails and interview notes.


Where These Apply

Candidate interaction records apply to:

  • Candidate Profiles

  • Recruitment Campaign tracking

  • Interview and follow-up coordination

All interaction records are stored within the candidate profile.


How To Record a Candidate Interaction

  1. Go to Recruitment → Candidate Profile

  2. Open the relevant Candidate Profile

  3. Select Add Interaction or Record Follow-Up

  4. Choose the Interaction Type (call, meeting, follow-up, etc.)

  5. Enter Date and Notes describing the interaction

  6. Add any Outcome or Next Step if applicable

  7. Click Save

The interaction is logged in the candidate’s history.


Important Rules to Know

  • Interaction records do not change candidate status automatically

  • Recorded interactions are visible to authorized users

  • Interaction history remains available after HR transfer

  • Interaction records are for internal reference only


Best Practices

  • Record interactions immediately after they occur

  • Keep notes clear and factual

  • Use interaction records to track follow-ups

  • Maintain consistent interaction logging across candidates


Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Relying only on memory instead of recording interactions

  • Writing unclear or incomplete notes

  • Recording sensitive information unnecessarily

  • Assuming interaction records notify candidates automatically

  • Step 1. Go to candidate detail -> click Care button.
  • There are 4 options: Send mail, Phone, Test, Interview. 

    Interaction history with candidates will be saved in Recruitment history tab
