OKRs Permission

Permissions

Purpose

The Permissions screen allows administrators to control user access to the OKR module. Permissions can be assigned directly to individual employees or through roles, ensuring that users can only access the features and actions relevant to their responsibilities.

Administrators have unrestricted access to all OKR functions and can manage permissions for both employees and roles.


View

Permissions can be configured from either the Employee or Role management screens.

Assign Permissions to an Employee

Step 1

Navigate to Setup → Staff from the left sidebar.

Step 2

Select the employee.

Step 3

Open the Permissions tab.

Step 4

Enable or disable the required permissions.

Step 5

Save the changes.


Assign Permissions to a Role

Step 1

Navigate to Setup → Roles from the left sidebar.

Step 2

Select the role and click Edit.

Step 3

Enable or disable the required permissions.

Step 4

To apply the changes to all employees using the role, enable Update all staff members permissions that are using this role.

Step 5

Save the changes.


Field Descriptions

Field Description
Employee The staff member receiving the assigned permissions.
Role A predefined role used to assign permissions to multiple employees.
Permission A specific access right that controls what actions a user can perform within the OKR module.
Update All Staff Members Permissions That Are Using This Role Applies the updated role permissions to all employees currently assigned to the selected role.

Workflow Rules

  • Permissions can be assigned directly to employees or inherited through roles.

  • Administrators have unrestricted access to all OKR features and settings.

  • Users can only access menus, records, and actions permitted by their assigned permissions.

  • Role-based permissions can be propagated to all users assigned to that role.

  • Permission restrictions are enforced throughout the OKR module.


Permissions

OKR Dashboard

Permission Description
View Allows users to access and view the OKR Dashboard.

OKRs

Permission Description
View Allows users to access the OKR management page and view OKR details.
Create Allows users to create OKRs.
Edit Allows users to edit personal OKRs only. Users cannot edit Company OKRs, Department OKRs, or OKRs owned by other users.
Edit Company OKRs Allows users to edit Company OKRs only. Users cannot edit Department OKRs or Personal OKRs.
Edit Department OKRs Allows users to edit Department OKRs only. Users cannot edit Company OKRs or Personal OKRs.
Delete Allows users to delete Personal OKRs only. Users cannot delete Company OKRs, Department OKRs, or OKRs owned by other users.
Delete Company OKRs Allows users to delete Company OKRs only. Users cannot delete Department OKRs or Personal OKRs.
Delete Department OKRs Allows users to delete Department OKRs only. Users cannot delete Company OKRs or Personal OKRs.

OKR Check-In

Permission Description
View Allows users to access and perform check-ins only for OKRs for which they are responsible.
Check-In Company OKRs Allows users to perform check-ins for all Company OKRs and OKRs assigned to them.
Check-In Department OKRs Allows users to perform check-ins for Department OKRs and OKRs assigned to them.

OKR Reports

Permission Description
View Allows users to access and view OKR reports.

OKR Settings

Permission Description
View Allows users to access the OKR Settings page.
Create Allows users to create OKR settings records.
Edit Allows users to modify OKR settings records.
Delete Allows users to remove OKR settings records.

Synchronization

Permission settings are synchronized with:

  • Employees

  • Roles

  • OKR Dashboard

  • Objectives

  • Key Results

  • Check-Ins

  • Reports

  • Settings

  • Notifications

  • Activity Logs


Important Notes

  • Administrators always have full access to all OKR functionality.

  • Permission assignments should align with organizational roles and responsibilities.

  • Users cannot perform actions beyond the scope of their assigned permissions.

  • Role-based permission updates only affect users when Update all staff members permissions that are using this role is selected.

  • Permission restrictions apply to menu visibility, record access, editing rights, deletion rights, reporting access, and check-in activities.

  • Organizations should regularly review permission assignments to maintain security and governance standards.
