Layoff Checklist
The Layoff Checklist screen in Thulo HR Records is used to create and manage employee offboarding workflows. These workflows define the steps that must be completed when an employee resigns or leaves the organization.
Different departments may require different offboarding procedures. Therefore, separate layoff checklists can be created for each department.
The data configured on this screen will be available for use in the Layoff Checklist menu of the HR Records module.
Create a New Layoff Checklist
Each department can have its own resignation or offboarding process.
Step 1: Create a Layoff Checklist

Navigate to Thulo HR → HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Click Add.
Result
The system will display the Add Layoff Checklist screen.

Enter the required information.

Click Save to continue configuring the process.
Alternatively, click Close to cancel the operation.
Note
The Department field retrieves data from:
Setup → Support → Departments
Step 2: Configure the Offboarding Process
After saving the checklist, the system automatically opens the Configure Layoff Checklist screen.
From this screen, you can:

Add new process steps

Edit existing process steps
-
Delete process steps
-
Return to the checklist list
To create a new step, click Add.
Step 3: Add Process Steps
When the Add function is selected, the system displays a form for creating an offboarding step.
Information Required
Step Name
Enter the name of the offboarding activity.
Examples:

Return Company Assets
-
Disable System Access
-
Complete Exit Interview
-
Clear Outstanding Expenses
-
Return Employee ID Card
Person in Charge
Select the employee responsible for completing and updating this step.
After entering the required information, click Save.
Result
The step will be added to the layoff process.
Important Note
The Person in Charge field retrieves employee information from:
HR Records → Employees
The selected employee will have permission to update the status of the assigned offboarding step.
View a Layoff Checklist
To review an existing offboarding process:
Step 1

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Locate the checklist you want to review.

Click View.
Result
The system will display the Configure Layoff Checklist screen containing all configured process steps.
Step 2
Within the Configure Layoff Checklist screen, you can:

View all process steps
-
Edit existing steps
-
Delete existing steps
-
Add additional steps if required
This allows the checklist to be maintained and updated as organizational requirements change.
Edit a Layoff Checklist
To modify checklist information:
Step 1

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Locate the checklist you want to edit.

Click Edit.
Step 2
The system will display the Edit Layoff Checklist screen.

Update the required information.
-
Click Save.
Alternatively, click Close to cancel the operation.
Result
The updated checklist information will be available immediately.
Delete a Layoff Checklist
To remove an offboarding checklist:
Step 1

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Locate the checklist you want to delete.

Click Delete.
Step 2
The system will display a confirmation message.

Click OK to confirm the deletion.

Click Cancel to cancel the operation.
Result
The selected layoff checklist will be removed from the system.
Export Layoff Checklists
Layoff checklist records can be exported for reporting, backup, or administrative purposes.
Method 1: Export All Records
To export all layoff checklist records:

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Click the Display option.
-
Select All.
-
The system will display all available records.
-
Click Export.
-
Select the desired file format.
Result
All layoff checklist records will be exported.
Method 2: Export Filtered Records
To export specific records:

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Layoff Checklist.

Enter search criteria in the Search field.
-
The system will filter records based on the entered criteria.

Click Export.
-
Select the desired file format.
Result
Only records matching the search criteria will be exported.
