Candidate Rating

Purpose

This article explains how interviewers and HR users record Candidate Ratings in the Thulo RecruitEdge – Recruitment Management Module.

Candidate Rating is used to capture interview evaluation results and support fair and structured hiring decisions.

What Candidate Rating Is Used For

Candidate Rating is used to:

  • Record interview scores based on evaluation criteria

  • Capture interviewer feedback and remarks

  • Compare candidates objectively

  • Support selection and hiring decisions

Candidate ratings become part of the candidate’s recruitment history.


Where These Apply

Candidate Ratings apply to:

  • Interview records

  • Candidate Profiles

  • Evaluation and selection stages

Ratings are linked to the related interview and evaluation form.


How To Rate a Candidate

  1. Go to Recruitment → Interview Schedule

  2. Open the completed Interview Schedule

  3. Select the option to Rate Candidate

  4. Fill in scores for each Evaluation Criterion

  5. Add Remarks or Comments if required

  6. Submit the evaluation

The rating is saved to the candidate profile.


Important Rules to Know

  • Candidate Rating is usually done after interviews

  • Ratings do not automatically change candidate status

  • Submitted ratings are stored for reference

  • Rating access depends on assigned permissions


Best Practices

  • Rate candidates immediately after interviews

  • Use evaluation criteria consistently

  • Provide clear and honest feedback

  • Avoid rating candidates without completing interviews


Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Submitting ratings without proper evaluation

  • Leaving remarks empty for important decisions

  • Rating candidates before interviews are completed

  • Assuming ratings automatically select or reject candidates

  • Step 1. Create Evaluation form at evaluation form setting.
  • Step 2. Go to candidate detail  -> Click Rate button.
  • Step 3. In the Rate popup, fill in the required details -> click Save

The data after being saved will be displayed at the Capacity Profile tab

Note: When the candidate is not in any recruitment campaign, you cannot be evaluated.
