Allowance Types
The Allowance Types screen in Thulo HR Records is used to create and manage employee allowance categories that can be assigned to contracts.
Allowance Types are used within the Contracts module to define additional compensation and benefits provided to employees beyond their base salary.
Examples of allowance types include:

Transportation Allowance

Meal Allowance
-
Housing Allowance
-
Mobile Phone Allowance
-
Internet Allowance
-
Responsibility Allowance
-
Performance Allowance
The data configured on this screen will be available for selection in the Contracts menu of the HR Records module.
Create a New Allowance Type
Step 1: Open the Allowance Types Screen

Navigate to Thulo HR → HR Records.

Select Settings → Allowance Types.
-
Click Add.
Step 2: Enter Allowance Type Information
The system will display the New Allowance Type screen.

Enter the required information.
-
Configure the Taxable setting if applicable.

Click Save to create the allowance type.
Alternatively, click Close to cancel the operation without saving.
Result
The new allowance type will be available for selection when creating employee contracts.
Taxable Option
The Taxable field determines whether the allowance is considered taxable.
Available options:

Yes
-
No
Yes
If Yes is selected, the allowance is identified as a taxable allowance.
No
If No is selected, the allowance is identified as a non-taxable allowance.
Important Note
Currently, the Taxable field is used for informational and classification purposes only.
The system stores and displays the taxable status but does not currently perform tax calculations based on this setting.
Future versions of Thulo HRMS may use this field for payroll and tax processing.
Edit an Allowance Type
Allowance Types can be modified whenever updates are required.
Step 1

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Allowance Types.

Locate the allowance type you want to edit.

Click Edit.
Step 2
The system will display the Edit Allowance Type screen.

Update the required information.
-
Click Save.
Alternatively, click Close to cancel the operation.
Result
The updated allowance type information will be available throughout the system.
Delete an Allowance Type
Allowance Types that are no longer required can be removed from the system.
Step 1

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Allowance Types.

Locate the allowance type you want to delete.

Click Delete.
Step 2
The system will display a confirmation message.

Click OK to confirm the deletion.

Click Cancel to cancel the operation.
Result
The selected allowance type will be removed from the system.
Export Allowance Types
Allowance Type records can be exported for reporting, backup, or administrative purposes.
Method 1: Export All Allowance Types
To export all allowance type records:

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Allowance Types.

Click the Display option.
-
Select All.
-
The system will display all available allowance type records.

Click Export.
-
Select the desired file format.
Result
All allowance type records will be exported.
Method 2: Export Filtered Allowance Types
To export specific allowance type records:

Navigate to HR Records → Settings → Allowance Types.

Enter search criteria in the Search field.

The system will filter the records based on the entered criteria.

Click Export.
-
Select the desired file format.
Result
Only the filtered records matching the search criteria will be exported.
