Email configuration Setting in Marketing Automation

Email Configuration

Purpose

The Email Configuration screen allows administrators to configure the email delivery settings used specifically by the Thulo Marketing Automation module.

This screen enables organizations to configure a dedicated SMTP server for marketing communications, separate from the system-wide email configuration if required.

Email Configuration controls how the Marketing Automation module sends:

  • Marketing Emails

  • Campaign Emails

Workflow Rules

Separate SMTP Configuration

The Email Configuration screen allows the Marketing Automation module to maintain its own SMTP settings.

When configured:

  • Marketing Automation emails are sent using the SMTP settings defined in this screen.

  • Email delivery can be managed independently from other platform email communications.

  • Marketing email traffic can be separated from operational or transactional email traffic.

Email Delivery

The configured SMTP server is used for:

  • Campaign Emails

  • Automated Workflow Emails

  • Drip Campaign Emails

  • Customer Journey Emails

  • Scheduled Marketing Emails

  • Trigger-Based Email Actions

Unsubscribe Processing

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option.

The Unsubscribe Text field allows administrators to customize the wording displayed to recipients.

Examples:

  • Unsubscribe

  • Stop receiving marketing emails

  • Manage your email preferences

When a recipient selects the unsubscribe option:

  • The recipient is marked as unsubscribed.

  • Future marketing emails are blocked for that recipient.

  • Existing customer records remain unchanged.

Important Notes

  • Valid SMTP credentials are required for successful email delivery.

  • Incorrect SMTP settings may result in failed email delivery.

  • Changes to SMTP settings affect future emails only.

  • It is recommended to test email delivery after updating SMTP settings.

  • The Unsubscribe Text controls only the displayed text and does not change unsubscribe functionality.

  • All marketing emails should include an unsubscribe option to comply with email marketing best practices.

  • Only authorized administrators should modify Email Configuration settings.

  • The Marketing Automation module uses the configured SMTP settings when processing campaigns and automation workflows.
