Attendance Timesheet Management
Purpose
The Attendance Timesheet Management feature allows administrators to review, edit, close, and reopen employee timesheets.
This functionality is used to manage monthly attendance records after attendance data has been generated through manual attendance, task-based timesheets, or imported timesheets.
Administrators can:
-
Adjust employee working hours
-
Correct attendance records
-
Lock monthly attendance periods
-
Reopen previously closed attendance periods
Closing a timesheet prevents further modifications to the displayed monthly timesheet while preserving ongoing attendance collection.

-
The selected monthly timesheet is closed.
-
The attendance period is considered finalized.

The attendance display is no longer available for normal timesheet processing until reopened.
Ongoing Attendance Collection Rules
Closing a timesheet does not stop attendance collection.
Even after attendance is closed:
-
Employees can continue performing attendance activities.
-
The system continues recording employee working hours.
-
New attendance data continues to be generated.
Attendance collection remains active regardless of the closed status of a previous attendance period.

When attendance is reopened:
-
The closed attendance period becomes accessible again.
-
Attendance records can be reviewed and modified.
-
Attendance corrections can be applied as required.
Attendance Status Logic
Attendance closure affects period management only.
Closing attendance does not:
-
Delete attendance records.
-
Stop attendance collection.
-
Remove employee attendance history.
Payroll Integration Behavior
Closed attendance periods are commonly used for:
-
Payroll preparation
-
Attendance verification
-
Month-end attendance review
Attendance corrections made after reopening may affect payroll-related attendance calculations.
Reporting Rules
Attendance reports use attendance data regardless of whether the attendance period is open or closed.
Closing attendance simply indicates that the period has been administratively finalized.

-
Attendance edits may affect attendance summaries, overtime calculations, reports, and payroll-related attendance calculations.
-
Closing attendance is typically performed after attendance verification and month-end review are completed.
-
Reopening attendance should be carefully controlled to maintain attendance data integrity.
-
Attendance records are never automatically deleted when attendance is closed or reopened.
