Workflow Rules

Asset Usage

Assets can be used within:

  • Emails

  • Email Templates

  • Campaigns

  • Marketing Automation Workflows

  • Customer Engagement Programs

When included in an Email, the Asset can be provided as a downloadable resource for Leads and Customers.

Download Tracking

The system can track Asset downloads when the file is accessed through Marketing Automation links.

When a Lead or Customer downloads an Asset through a tracked campaign link:

  • The download is recorded.

  • Download statistics are updated.

  • Lead scoring rules may be applied.

Lead Scoring Rules

The Change Point When Downloading field controls Lead scoring behavior.

When a tracked Asset download occurs:

  • Positive values increase the Lead's score.

  • Negative values decrease the Lead's score.

  • Zero values have no impact on scoring.

Example:

Download Action Point Change
Download Product Brochure +10 Points
Download Pricing Guide +20 Points
Download Unqualified Content -5 Points

This allows organizations to measure engagement and qualification based on content consumption.

Direct Download Behavior

When a user downloads a file using the direct download link available in the Asset View screen:

  • No Lead or Customer points are awarded.

  • Download activity is not associated with Lead scoring.

  • The download is treated as a direct administrative file download.

Only downloads performed through Marketing Automation tracking mechanisms affect Lead scoring.

Publishing Rules

When Published = Yes:

  • The Asset is available for selection within Emails and Marketing Automation components.

When Published = No:

  • The Asset remains stored in the system but is not available for use in new marketing content.

The Statistics Chart displays the number of Asset downloads over time.

Available metrics include:

The chart only tracks downloads made through Asset links generated by the Marketing Automation module.
