Purpose

This section explains how SmartBooks can connect bank accounts using automated bank feed services.

This feature allows transactions to be fetched automatically from supported banks.


How to Access

  1. Go to SmartBooks

  2. Click Settings

  3. Open Bank Feed Environment

https://app.thulo.com/{tenantname}/ps/admin/accounting/setting/bank-feed


What This Feature Does

When supported:

  • Connects bank accounts securely

  • Automatically imports bank transactions

  • Reduces manual transaction entry

Imported transactions can then be reviewed, matched, and reconciled.


Availability Note (Important)

⚠️ Not applicable for Nepal

  • Automated bank feed integration is currently available only for Europe and North America

  • Nepali banks do not support this integration

For Nepal-based businesses:

  • Bank transactions must be imported manually

  • Or recorded directly in SmartBooks


If Bank Feed Is Enabled (Supported Regions Only)

When available, users can:

  1. Select a bank provider

  2. Authenticate bank access

  3. Link a bank account

  4. Sync transactions automatically


Important Notes

  • Bank feed connections affect future transactions only

  • Imported transactions still require review and matching

  • This feature does not replace reconciliation


When to Use This

  • Only if your business operates in a supported region

  • Only if automated bank feeds are available for your bank
