Creating a New Contract

  1. Navigate to Contracts:

    • Access "Contracts" from the side menu and click "New Contract"

  2. Contract Details:

    • Configure contract specifics:

      • Trash: If you add a contract to trash, it won't be shown on the client side, won't be included in the chart and other stats, and also, by default, won't be shown when you list all contracts.
      • Hide from Customer: Prevent display in customer areas and disable expiry reminder emails.
      • Subject: Internal reference label.
      • Contract Value: Amount in base currency.
      • Contract Type: Organize contracts; manage types in Setup -> Contracts -> Contract Types.
      • Start Date: Commencement date.
      • End Date: Optional; for expiry notifications.
  3. Adding Contract Content:

    • The text and content inside the editor will be compiled into a PDF and you can easily send this PDF to the customer by clicking on the top-right envelope icon.
    • Ensure to click "Save Contract" to finalize the content.
  4. Attaching Files:

    • Attachments are optional. If you upload a file, this file will also be visible on the customer's side, and the customer can download the contract.
